MGA ENROLMENT & POLICIES AGREEMENT

(All Programmes Except Developmental & High Performance)

This Enrolment & Policies Agreement (“Agreement”) applies to all athletes and families enrolled in all programmes (excluding Developmental and High Performance) at Mokara Gymnastics Academy (“MGA”), unless otherwise stated.

Developmental and High Performance programmes are governed by a separate agreement.

By enrolling in MGA programmes, the undersigned parent or legal guardian (“Parent/Guardian”) acknowledges and agrees to the following terms.

1. ENROLMENT & BILLING TERMS

1.1 Billing Cycle, Public Holidays & Closures

  • Enrolment is billed on a monthly basis, by calendar month (1st–31st).
  • The first enrolment month may be prorated based on the start date.
  • All subsequent months are not prorated, regardless of:
    • Attendance
    • Absences
    • Holidays
    • Personal schedule conflicts

Public Holidays

MGA conducts regular classes on most Singapore public holidays.

MGA will be closed on the following public holidays:

  • Christmas Day (25 December)
  • New Year’s Day (1 January)
  • Chinese New Year’s Eve
  • Chinese New Year Day

These closure days will not be billed, and tuition will be adjusted accordingly.

Workshops, Events & Special Closures

  • Parents will be notified in advance if workshops, events, or special programmes prevent Recreational or Adult classes from being conducted.
  • Classes cancelled due to such events will not be billed.
  • No makeup classes will be offered unless explicitly stated.

1.2 Payment Methods & Authorization

Credit Card (Automatic Billing)

Parents/Guardians paying by credit card authorize MGA to:

  • Securely store card details, and
  • Automatically charge monthly tuition

Payment Processing

  • Credit card payments are processed on the 20th of each month.
  • If the 20th falls on a weekend or Singapore public holiday, payment will be processed on the last working day prior.

PayNow (Manual Payment)

Parents/Guardians may choose to pay via PayNow.

PayNow payments:

  • Must be initiated by the Parent/Guardian
  • Must be arranged manually with the Mokara Care team
  • Must include the registered parent’s phone number in the PayNow “Remarks” field

Additional notes:

  • MGA will issue payment reminders for PayNow payments.
  • Parents/Guardians remain fully responsible for ensuring payment is received by MGA by the applicable due date, regardless of reminders.
  • MGA is not responsible for delays, errors, or missed payments due to incorrect or incomplete PayNow details.

1.3 Failed Payments

  • Failed or unpaid balances must be resolved by the 25th of the month.
  • If payment is not received by the 25th:
    • Enrolment may be cancelled without further notice
    • The athlete’s class slot may be offered to another family

MGA is not responsible for missed classes or loss of placement due to non-payment.

2. WITHDRAWAL & CANCELLATION

2.1 Withdrawal Notice Requirement

To withdraw from a programme, Parent/Guardian must notify MGA in writing by the 15th of the month prior to the month being cancelled.

Example:

To cancel March classes, written notice must be received by 15 February.

2.2 Late Withdrawal

  • Withdrawals submitted after the 15th will not take effect until the end of the following billing month.
  • Parent/Guardian remains financially responsible for tuition for the upcoming month, regardless of attendance.

2.3 Refund Limitation

Except as expressly provided under Section 4, no refunds or credits are issued for:

  • Partial months
  • Missed classes
  • Mid-month withdrawals

3. REGISTRATION FEES

  • Registration fees are currently waived as a limited promotional benefit.
  • MGA reserves the right to reinstate registration fees at any time.
  • Athletes returning after twelve (12) months or more of inactivity may be required to:
    • Complete re-registration, and
    • Pay a registration fee, if applicable at that time

4. FIRST ENROLMENT & EARLY CANCELLATION POLICY

(Recreational Programmes Only)

  • MGA does not offer trial classes.
  • During the first month of enrolment and the immediately following month, families may cancel enrolment at any time.

Upon cancellation within this initial period:

  • All remaining unused classes for the applicable month(s) will be fully refunded

Refunds:

  • Apply only to unused classes
  • Do not extend beyond the second month of enrolment

After this period, all tuition paid is non-refundable, and standard withdrawal terms apply.

5. CLASS PLACEMENT & EVALUATIONS

  • Athletes with more than six (6) months of gymnastics experience must complete an evaluation prior to enrolment.
  • Evaluations are currently available for recreational gymnastics programmes only.
  • Athletes who decline evaluation may enrol only in beginner-level classes.
  • MGA reserves the right to adjust class placement or require re-evaluation for safety or developmental reason

6. MAKE-UP CLASS POLICY

6.1 Absence Notification

  • Absences must be reported at least 48 hours in advance.
  • Absences reported with less than 48 hours’ notice:
    • Will not receive a makeup token
    • Are considered forfeited classes

6.2 Makeup Tokens

  • Each enrolment includes one (1) makeup token per month per weekly class enrolment.
  • Makeup tokens must be used within 60 days of issuance and will expire thereafter.
  • There is no guarantee that space will be available.
  • Makeup tokens are:
    • Non-transferable
    • Not extendable
    • Not exchangeable for refunds or credits

7. PLANNED VACATIONS (SPECIAL LEAVE)

(Recreational & Adult Programmes Only)

Each athlete is entitled to two (2) weeks of Special Leave per half-year:

  • January 1 – June 30
  • July 1 – December 31

“Two weeks” is defined as two times the athlete’s weekly enrolment frequency.

Example:

An athlete enrolled twice per week = four classes of Special Leave.

7.1 Notification & Approval

  • Special Leave must be requested in writing by the 15th of the month prior.
  • All requests are subject to MGA approval.
  • Unapproved or late requests will be treated as regular absences.

7.2 Credits During Special Leave

  • Approved Special Leave absences will be refunded as account credits only.
  • Account credits:
    • Have no cash value
    • Are non-transferable
    • Cannot be exchanged for refunds

7.3 Absences Beyond Special Leave

Absences beyond approved Special Leave are not eligible for credits.

For extended absences, Parents/Guardians may choose:

(a) Withdraw from the Programme

  • Withdrawal follows MGA’s withdrawal policy.
  • The class slot will be released.
  • Re-enrolment is subject to availability and original class time is not guaranteed.

(b) Hold the Class Slot

  • Full tuition payment must continue to retain the class slot.
  • Failure to pay will result in withdrawal.

8. INJURIES & MEDICAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • Parents must notify MGA of injuries prior to participation.
  • Minor injuries may allow modified participation at MGA’s discretion.
  • Injuries preventing participation require withdrawal or continued payment.
  • Credits for injury-related absences are issued only at MGA’s discretion.

9. WAITLIST POLICY

  • Athletes may waitlist one class per enrolment, subject to system limitations.
  • Offers are typically made around the 26th of each month.
  • MGA may confirm continued interest before offering placement.

10. EARLY DROP-OFF & LATE PICKUP

(Recreational Programmes Only)

10.1 Early Drop-Off

  • Athletes may not enter earlier than 15 minutes before class.
  • Parent/Guardian remains responsible for the athlete until entry.
  • MGA is not responsible for early arrivals.

10.2 Pick-Up After Class

  • MGA supervises athletes for up to 15 minutes after class.
  • Parents/Guardians must collect athletes promptly.

10.3 Late Pickup Fees

  • After 15 minutes: $10 late pickup fee
  • After 20 minutes: $1 per additional minute, charged from the 20-minute mark onward

Fees are payable immediately or may be charged to the account on file.

10.4 Purpose of Late Pickup Policy

This policy ensures:

  • Athlete safety
  • Adequate staff supervision
  • Compliance with operational standards

Repeated late pickups may result in escalating fees or termination of enrolment.

11. WHAT TO WEAR

Athletes may wear:

  • Leotards (girls), or
  • Tucked-in T-shirts and shorts (boys or girls)

Additional requirements:

  • No jewellery permitted
  • Hair must be securely tied back
  • Large bows or accessories are not permitted
  • Personal items must be stored in cubbies

MGA is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

12. CLASS CANCELLATIONS BY MGA

MGA may cancel classes due to illness, safety concerns, or operational reasons.

Cancelled classes may be replaced with makeup classes or account credits.

13. CONDUCT & SAFETY

  • Athletes and parents must comply with MGA’s safety rules and code of conduct.
  • MGA may suspend or terminate enrolment for unsafe or disruptive behaviour.
  • No refunds are issued for dismissals due to conduct violations.

14. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of Singapore courts.

15. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By electronically signing, the Parent/Guardian confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Agreement.
